Es war wirklich mitreissend und leicht verständlich, auch wenn man sich erst an die vielen Fußnoten gewöhnen muss.Das Buch war in einem super Zustand kam aber etwas spät. Trotzdem war für den Preis alles tutti :)

Seit der Verfilmung von "Silver Linings Playbook" ist Matthew Quick nun in den meisten Breitengraden bekannt. "Forgive me, Leonard Peacock" ist ein Young Adult-Roman, ein Coming of Age-Roman, ein Entwicklungsroman, wie auch immer es nun klassifiziert werden soll.Das Thema des Buches ist nicht leicht verdaulich, aber interessant und hat Potenzial, wenn ein origineller oder kreativer Zugang gewählt wird. Jedoch waren für mich die Requisiten des Romans nicht hundertprozentig überzeugend. Die meisten Charaktere waren interessant und gut skizziert, waren mir aber teilweise überzeichnet, als wäre zu oft in die Vorlagen-Schublade gegriffen worden, eben ein Katalog an literarischen Archetypen. Gewisse Abschnitte kamen mir wie ein Deja-Vú vor, als hätte ich sie so oder so ähnlich bereits woanders gelesen.Ich habe den Roman dennoch gelesen und habe mich ganz in Ordnung beschäftigt gefühlt, war aber weder großartig bewegt, noch unterhalten. Die Sprache und der Stil sind einfach und klar, es fehlte aber der literarische Fluss, der Sog, die Magie zwischen den Zeilen, durch die sich viele andere Romane dieses Genres auszeichnen.
